Start Fresh with @TylerFlorence! @SproutFoods

It’s no secret that I like to cook. I dream one day of a kitchen worthy of my cooking desires. So for now, I immerse myself in cookbooks. Preferably ones with delicious, kid friendly recipes. Start Fresh by Tyler Florence is one of these cookbooks. From baby purees that actually look appetizing to delights for the whole family, Florence covers it all.

Both my kids are way beyond purees and on to table foods, but I bet the purees would make divine additions to other recipes, so I’ll be checking them out again when the cooler weather rolls around. There are so many recipes I want to try in Start Fresh, I don’t know where to begin.

So I started where any normal person would. Dessert. Specifically,  Strawberry Stuffed Muffins.

With the exception of the strawberries, the average person should have all of the ingredients in the pantry at any given time to make these yummy treats. Except me, I forgot the eggs. Luckily that crisis was easily averted and the end result was some very delicious mini-muffins.

Don’t worry, I have plans to tackle some of Florence’s other recipes, including the Roasted Golden Beets with Quinoa and Feta and the Barbecue Turkey Meatloaf Cupcakes with Mashed Potato Frosting.

But for now, we’ll enjoy the Strawberry Stuffed Muffins, by the handful.

They're delicious!

YUM! Love strawberries! And stuffing them in muffins is a great dessert. I would also eat these for breakfast.
