Not too long ago, someone asked me how many strollers I’ve tried. I admit, I had to make a list of the umbrella strollers, the sit and stands and the occasional luxury stroller we’ve driven since early 2008. My total is somewhere around 10 or 12, but our new favorite set of wheels, luxury wheels is the Qool by Joovy. They were gracious enough to send us (free of charge, in exchange for review) a new Joovy Qool for our recent trip to Disneyland for Disney Social Media Moms, and since then, it’s made it’s appearance at the March for Babies here in Seattle, various shopping malls and trips to the grocery store.
The fashionista in me LOVES the colors that the Joovy Qool is available in. My last luxury stroller was red. Boring. But Qool comes in colors like Apple, Spice, Avocado, Blueberry and several others.
The Qool boasts some must have features for a luxury stroller.
An easy to use stroller brake that won’t destroy your pedicure, and locking front wheels for less than smooth terrain.
A shopping basket worthy of a quick trip to the store.
Telescoping Handlebar from 37″ to 42″ means my husband no longer kicks the back of the stroller. This is something we are both grateful for! I still need to try it out with Joovy’s Qool Ride-On Board – I think Sebby and Quincy would love it
The seat has a 3 position recline – perfect for naps on the go. It can be moved from forward to rear facing in seconds – not with the baby in it of course. The foot rest is also easily adjustable for comfort. There is an infant car seat adaptor available, otherwise you can use the Qool from 3 months to 55 pounds. The padded seat cover is removable for easy washing – thank goodness. We are talking about a toddler after all.
It also wouldn’t be a Joovy stroller in my book without it’s generous canopy. It may not be crazy sunny in Seattle (at least not all the time) but protection from the sun is an absolute must. The zippered extension is one of my favorite features and means I might get a nap out of a longer walk.
Don’t overlook the hand stitched leatherette handle bars or stroller bar. Or that you can swap out the stroller bar with a snack tray. Did I happen to mention the snack tray folds down for storage. You do not have to remove it before folding the stroller. Brilliant.
The Joovy Qool is a little bulkier than some of the other strollers I have used, the seat is easily removed for a more compact fold. It’s not a problem in my van, but a great solution for saving space in trunks.
We love our Joovy Qool. Love it. At Disneyland it was easy to spot in a sea of strollers, on neighborhood walks it’s visible to cars, and it’s a smooth and comfy ride for Edison.
