Last week I attended a special press screening of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy here in Seattle. I was not disappointed.
Guardians of the Galaxy

I’m not a crazy huge fan girl, I haven’t read comic books since I was a kid, but when I’m flipping through the channels, and a Marvel film is on, the clicker stops. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen Captain America, or Thor or any of the Iron Mans, but it’s, well, a lot.

So I was pretty excited to see Guardians of the Galaxy last week. And like all Marvel films, I am ready to see it again (and not just because they didn’t show us that little snippet that Marvel always shows after the credits either).

Guardians of the Galaxy will delight your inner fan girl (hello eye candy), your sides will hurt from laughing – what’s not to love about a talking raccoon named Rocket and you’ll leave the theater wanting to buy the soundtrack which is full of the best 80’s music ever.

Guardians of the Galaxy is rated PG-13, so you’ll want to leave the kiddos at home for this one and score yourself a date night. You won’t be disappointed.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.
