Getting Red Carpet with Daily’s Cocktails and Wholly Guacamole

This past weekend, my friend Leanne aka Rave and Review came over with her husband and kiddos for a pre Oscar party viewing of the Oscar nominated movie, Brave and some yummy treats from Daily’s Cocktails and Wholly Guacamole.

Before our little gathering, I went on a mission to find the Daily’s Cocktails Frozen Pouches, relying on the Store Locator to help me. I wasn’t successful. Even though I’m 18 months pregnant (haha) I didn’t want my husband and friends to go without, so I asked Leanne to take a look in her neighborhood. We had no luck. We were bummed to miss out on the three new light flavors (Light Pink Lemonade, Light Mango Passion Fruit Daiquiri and Light Margarita) BUT she was able to find some Daily’s Cocktail Mixers, which we deemed good enough. We picked up some other liquor and wine (and Sprite for me) for mixing and we were good to go!

So what did we do? We mixed the Daily’s Sangria mix with red wine and the Daily’s Cosmopolitan mix with Sprite. The verdict? Worth the toast!

Chips and Guacamole ready, with Daily’s on the way, I needed another snack. The Wholly Guacamole website has tons of awesome recipes to make with their products, and once I saw the deviled eggs, I knew I had found a winner! I totally admit to cheating on the recipe, mostly because I was making it last minute because I really didn’t follow it at all!  I mixed the egg yolks with guacamole and topped it with salsa. See? Total cheat.

They were delicious! The Wholly Guacamole and Salsa were a real hit with the kids too! Lots of dipping!

Having checkedout the Oscar nominees earlier that day, we decided we’d watch Brave, which is a nominee for Animated Feature Film. We’d all already seen the film, but enjoyed it enough to watch it again. If you haven’t seen Brave, you really need to. When it made it’s appearance on Blu-Ray my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. It was really good!

Lincoln is my favorite because it was historic and had a lot of information that I didn’t know in it.
