Candy Corn Brownies made easy with Walgreens. #BalanceRewards #Cbias

It’s halfway through October so it’s probably time to have some Halloween fun. With the kids napping and my husband Alan on the couch with our new kitten, I headed out for a quick trip to Walgreens to pick up some Halloween goodies and snacks.

Balance Rewards

Walgreens just rolled out this great new savings program called Balance Rewards. You get points for refilling prescriptions and shopping they way you normally do! You’ll also get special discounts on everything from toilet paper to potato chips.

It’s easy to sign up. I actually downloaded the app to my iPhone before I even left for the store so I was ready to save.  You can also sign up in store, with your smart phone, just look for the in store marketing If you don’t have a smart phone, you can sign up in store, it’s really easy – then you just need your card or phone number.

Since we adopted a black tuxedo kitten over the weekend, I thought it was only appropriate that we have a special Halloween dessert after dinner – and the best part? I coud get everything I needed at Walgreens!

Candy Corn Brownies

One box brownie mix, plus necessary ingredients (usually eggs, oil & water)
about `1/2 bag Candy Corn M&Ms
about 15-20 Candy Corns.

Preheat your oven.

Prepare your brownie mix according to the instructions on the box.

Slowly add about 1/2 a bag of Candy Corn M&Ms to the brownie mix and stir to incorporate throughout.

Pour batter into an 8×8 square baking dish, making sure none of the M&Ms are sticking out on the top.

Using your Candy Corn, make a jack o lantern face of your choosing.

Carefully place the dish into the over and bake according to package directions. Your candies may add a little moisture to the batter, so you might need to give it a few more minutes.

The brownies were delicious, the kids loved the coloring books. If only we had gotten a toy mouse for Milo. :)

Great advice on Walgreens points and a cute recipe! Now that is a great post! I haven’t taken advantage of the Walgreens points yet but I do intend to. I just wish there was a Walgreen’s closer to where I live.

I should have made this with some of the many bags of candy corn I helped eat in this house…they look so good.
